For a while now, I have been debating whether or not to stop selling PunBB skins, and today I decided I am through with it. First of all, I don’t get why anyone would use that forum software. You can’t do anything with it, I can skin it in less than 5 minutes, and there is a LOT of better free software out there. So today I am announcing that Final Prestige will no longer support PunBB. It is obvious that it is the worst forum software there is. Period.

Now that this skin is done for now and it is ready for the public to purchase it, let’s concentrate on the other skins at hand that many people have been curious about. If you don’t remember, I said a few entries back that I had 3 skins in the works. One was released today, and the other two are shrouded in secrecy. One of them has a European feel to it (a little ironic since I am not even European) but also metallic. Go figure. The other skin, will be a dark skin, with red accents. The name it is going by right now is Bloodshot. Still not sure if this skin will be released under that name, but I don’t think it will change, most likely. I started working on it a bit more than usual since Lady in Red is finished. I like the new look to it. It isn’t a light skin anymore, it is all dark. But still keeping it classy. I’ll post updates on it within the next few weeks.

I know I promised at least 1 skin within the next month, with another hopefully within 2 months, but 3?! Get out of town. But really, I have a 3rd skin in the works. It is actually a metal-looking with a light yellow. It is tough to describe, but it works. I’ll try to put a quick concept image if I can sometime soon.
I do plan on releasing this skin for free…but no promises.
Also, an update on the other two skins. They will most likely be paid. Lady in Red is turning out to get more complex and detailed every day, and I, for one, am loving it. I will admit it is an acquired taste, and isn’t for conservative people, but it is a burst of fresh air from Final Prestige in my opinion.

After an odd Calendar bug was found by one of my customers, I quietly released Explore 1.0.4 for customers who already purchased it. Naturally, whoever purchases this skin in the future will get the latest version as well. I am not really sure how the bug came to be, but it just put some extra text, such as “Calendar Navigation” Next to every header in the Calendar page so it would say something like “Calendar NavigationEvent Calendar” all mixed together like that. So I removed all of the odd extra coding that got in there, and everything is back to normal.

I’d like to give credit for the inspiration of this skin to a friend of mine, Kevin Chaffee, who was talking about a friend’s car, and named it ‘Lady in Red’ because of its vibrant red paint job.
So I was scrapping the old skin I mentioned a week and a half a go or something, and I was trying to think up ideas for a nice skin, and I didn’t want to make a plain light skin, or a plain dark skin (aka using a lot of white and light gray, or using a lot of black and dark gray.) so I came up with something in between, light board, dark background, vibrant colors. So today I would like to say that the official title for my latest skin, which I barely started a few days ago, will be called Lady in Red. Here is a taste of the colors, note that this is NOT how the skin will be represented completely, it just uses the colors involved.
Just in case there is confusion, this is my most recent skin, not the other red skin I am working on. This is a more vibrant red, and a bit of violet as well. I will post an update on the other red skin probably once I figure out a better name for it than I currently have in the works, and have time to work on it. Also, whether this skin will be paid or free is still yet to be known. People should be lucky I have released as many free skins as I have so far this year, and bills aren’t going to pay themselves.

After announcing that I officially trashed one of the skins I was working on, I planned on starting up a new one to replace it, and I did. I have another red-ish skin in the works and so far I am very pleased by how it is turning out. I really can’t say much but it will be a good quality skin with red-ish and a mix of violet squeezed in. I would give more details, but if I said what colors were in it, you may not like it, but you can’t see what I see, but I think this will be a good skin.
You can expect this skin, as well as the other gray/red skin to be released within a month…I hope.
