IPB 3.1 Skin Conversions and Pricing

Many people have been curious how we will approach updating our current skin line to work with IPB 3.1, which will be released late tomorrow afternoon. Our plan is pretty simple.

All custom skins:
$50 to convert skin to IPB 3.1. If you would like your skin converted, update your order in your client center by posting a comment, or make a new order mentioning your conversion.

All premade skins:
Are currently in the process of being converted and will be available to download for free if already purchased. We will be rolling out the updated skins ASAP. First will be Revolt, then Bubble Blue. The rest are coming shortly.

Chillax: Coming Soon

So, for the last couple weeks, we have been planning a lot more premade skins, and holding off on custom orders. We get custom skin orders constantly, and we really feel like our customers who don’t make custom orders are not getting a full helping of their skin fix. So we are working on releasing a bunch of skins soon, the first of which being Chillax. This is a white/blue skin with many customizations that I’m sure will please everyone. This skin is very web 2.0 and has many curves, but not as many curves of another skin that we will be announcing soon as well.

In other news, in case you haven’t noticed, Final Prestige is now Final Prestige, LLC! As a company, I’m really going to try hard to churn out as many products and services as possible.

On that note, we are also hiring! If you are good with design or coding websites, we want you! Come join us. More info on job positions at a later date. That’s all for now!

Addressing Some Issues

First off, I want to get some things cleared up. I am getting wayyyy too many people asking about IPBFree and InvisionFree. I’ve said this more than I should have to explain it. IP.Board 2.2/2.3 skins are not compatible with IPBFree or InvisionFree, or any other forum. Don’t buy a skin, or download one, thinking it would work. It won’t, and there are no refunds on intangible products, so make smart choices.

In other news. We have 2 skins for sure that will be available on release day for IPB3. We are currently making them for the IPS skin contest, but from the looks of things, we don’t stand much of a chance, so they will be released for free.

Skin Conversions: IPB2 skins CANNOT be converted into IPB3 skins. It is not that easy. The coding is very different. If custom skin owners would like their skins converted to IPB3, they will need to be completely reskinned. The price will not be as high as the initial purchase, but it won’t be free either. It is just like building a new skin from scratch, sometimes even harder.

Hope that clears things up for now. Oh, and no, we don’t give away custom skins for free. This is a business, and we need to make money to survive. Otherwise, we end up living in a box at the expense of your free skin. Then there will be no more FP skins. And we don’t want that happening, do we?

To Answer A Few Questions…

There seems to be some confusion about if the Justice skins are done or if more are being released.

In a word, yes, there will be more. However, we are taking a break on releasing two other planned Justice skins to tie up loose ends with 3 custom skins in the works, as well as plan out a new free skin.

It shouldn’t be that hard to figure out by now. I have said it multiple times.
We are also considering a sale sometime soon on some skins, or all, we aren’t sure yet. I will keep you posted.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Sorry I didn’t put up a blog entry lately. I have been very busy (as you can see from the title of this post). I was out into the wee hours of the morning at a Paramore concert, who also had Jack’s Mannequin, Phantom Planet, and Paper Route as the opening bands. Good stuff. Amazing time. Got to meet Paramore before the show.

Anyways, back to work. Stars25 has been working quickly, a bit tooo quickly, on the Justice skins, and I have been finishing a custom skin. More on those later. For now, I must rest my legs. Standing for 5 hours straight in the pit has worn me out.

Let’s Talk Updates, Shall We?

I’m going to go in no particular order so yeah.

In case you haven’t heard, we are working on a series of new skins for IP .Board. They will be light skins, and will feature a great customized header, new profile view, lots of animated button goodness, and of course come in multiple color variations similar to the Innovation 3.0 Series. I have no doubt in my mind that this skin is professional, clean, sleek, and works with any type of website you have. Of course we are just about finished with 1 of the skins in the set, so we have a long way to go, but all the planning and designing process is done, now we just have to make everything in different colors, oi vey! (is that how you spell that phrase?)

In other news, we have been working on a custom skin that really sparked my interest in a new skin, and yes, it will be free, because I love you, even though the respect is probably not mutual. (thanks for caring…not..). This skin will be, like usual, something different, but will come in multiple variations. The “crazy version,” which will have some interesting color sets, and have a lot of new customizations design-wise. The “professional version,” which will try to be sleek and easy on the eyes, and maybe in the future a “special edition” if you are good enough to deserve it. But no matter how it turns out, I still haven’t even started on the skin yet, but I want you to know it is coming eventually.

And to top it all off, I feel a sale coming on soon, another gift from us to you. No other news yet on what it will be for or about, but probably sometime before the next skin release we will have a nice sale for customers to indulge in.
