We have a new free skin coming along. I know I said Deviant was going to be the last, but with IPB3 taking longer then originally expected, I figured I’d throw another in there. It isn’t near done, but it is looking nice so far. It is blue with some yellow, but I am considering other colors. It isn’t exactly dark, but it isn’t light either. I guess you will just have to see it for yourself when the time comes.

After Deviant’s release, there was a lot of praise, but a few people were disappointed that the skin was a fixed width. So I am pleased to announce that Deviant is now available in fluid width as well. Simply navigate to the Products page on the Final Prestige website, and find Deviant (Fluid). Things have been pretty slow lately here at FP Headquarters (aka, the internet…) while the world prepares for the holidays and festive activities galore. But the website is getting closer and closer to completion and we are contemplating releasing up to 3 skins soon if we ever stop being lazy.
Let’s start with the site. Basically everything is coded except for the new order form and a couple minor things.
We are hoping to get it done as quickly as possible. I am hoping for a January 1st release, but it all depends on how quickly the web developer works. I also still need to put in images and put in products once everything is done.
Skins. Well, we have 3 unfinished skins that are closer to release than about 6 altogether that aren’t done that we were working on for shits and giggles. Those 3 are for everyone, not so crazy or wild, but sleek and awesome, naturally. One is dark with a mix of blues and a hint of yellow. Another is a holiday skin, and the last is a simple green/gray dark skin. I am going to try hard to finish one very soon. I know that we haven’t release a new paid skin in a while, but things were busy before and we were still celebrating the release of Deviant, our newest free skin (which is doing incredibly well, by the way. Thanks to all who downloaded it and have provided awesome positive feedback) and now that there is a lot of down time, I hope to shell out some creative juices and get the skins rolling along.

For those thinking I abandoned the blog, it is a lie. I have just been busy. A lot is going on right now at Final Prestige. We are still getting a lot of custom orders to handle at the moment and we are constantly trying to improve things around the forums and such. The new website looks great so far, but I still don’t want to unveil anything yet until it is near completion. Progress is slow on the site, but still productive, which is good.
For December, we are hoping to finish the website, as well as maybe release a paid skin. We have a ton of skins left over from IP .Board 2.3.x that never made it to market and there are a couple I just can’t resist but release. But whether or not we have time to roll them out is still yet to be determined.
We have a few other ideas in the works such as memberships…coupons…etc. but I’ll have more detailed information on that stuff soon, hopefully.
I know the blog posts have been uneventful and lacking juicy information, lately, but I promise once the new site comes around, things will change drastically.

First, I would like to thank everyone that made Deviant possible. It hasbeen a couple days after its release, and the praise it has been getting is really great, and it makes all of my hard work seem worth it. So again, thanks to all who have downloaded Deviant. Make us proud.
So what’s next? Well I think there won’t be anymore free skins for IP .Board 2.3 from us that I am aware of. It takes a lot of time to get a free skin together on top of all of the custom orders and premade paid skins going on at the same time. With IP .Board 3 so close, we need to start thinking about skins for the latest version of the software. Without a doubt, we will provide a lot more skins for IP .Board 3 than we did for IP .Board 2, since we got a late start, and now that we already have a bunch of skins established in the IP .Board 2 market, we will do our best to port those to IP .Board 3 when we can.
In other words, you can expect a LOT from Final Prestige within the next year. 2009 will be the start of a whole new generation of skins, and a lot of excitement for both you and us. Not to mention the new website is finally making progress (No really, I mean it this time). But more on that later.

That’s right folks. The much anticipated release of our latest skin, Deviant, is finally becoming a reality. We understand this is a bit later than customers would have wanted, but there are a lot of custom orders going on right now that are top priority, because everyone knows not to piss off a customer, so we needed to get most of those out of the way before topping off this free skin to give to you.
There is no scheduled time for when the skin will be released, but we do tend to do midnight releases often, so don’t rule that out. (But don’t guarantee it!)

With Deviant nearing completion, we also decided to roll out some of our skins from the “vault” that are unfinished. We have a few skins that never quite made it to retail, and we want to make those available before IPB3 so they don’t go to waste. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
One of those skins will be a paid skin, and is likely to be released within 2 days. Pricing is unsure, but I think it will be around $15-$20.
Deviant is about 1 day’s of work away from being done as well, so we will roll that skin out ASAP.
